9. Until then, where do the dead wait? 10. Where did Jesus say the dead are? 11. What words did Jesus use to say that his friend was dead? 12. How did David refer to his death? 13. What words did Paul use to say that some of those who saw Jesus were now dead? |
14. If there were no resurrection, what would happen to all who have fallen asleep? 15. When Jesus awoke from death, how did He say that He had not yet been to heaven? 16. How much does a dead man know? 17. What happens to his feelings and emotions?

Continuing from last month... The Word of the Creator God is not to be taken lightly. Our attitude towards this book should be of overwhelming TRUST. We must believe this Word of the Christian God is factual and 100% accurate. And if we do, we must then act accordingly and follow the examples held within it. Our life must be fashioned after that which is written. To do otherwise would mean we are outside His will, and to be outside His will would mean the prophecies in His Word will be sealed from our understanding. And because of this sealing, we will not be ready for what prophecy says will happen next! We will echo the words of Jeremiah 8:20 that says, "The harvest is past, the summer is ended, and we are not saved." So in the Bible we must be and whenever we hear a preacher or teacher speak, it is back into the Bible to makes sure they speak truth. Even the Bereans of old knew to do this.
The Word of this Creator God must be our final source of infallible Truth. PERIOD! No ifs ands or buts about it.
And before sharing that which is revealed unto us. We must always be careful as to not add anything to that which is written or take away from it either. Doing so is plainly described here as against His will. No matter how much the revelation of prophecy may be to us, we musn’t “gild the lilly” so as to not offend.

Question: Why Doesn’t God Do Mighty Miracles As He Did in the Past? Continuing from last month... Now I know some are going to say, "but that's ONE major event. The Old Testament has many of them." Yes, that's true. But these are events spread over the course of 4000 years. Most of the people alive never saw them "first hand" like we will. They were only told about those blunt and amazing signs by their parents. PLUS, our time period which is called "the end times" is a comparatively small time period. Yet, just before them (as early as 1755) and since it started (1844) has seen literally hundreds of prophecies come true. Jesus spoke of many signs that must happen directly before His return. The "major" ones were to start in 1755 with that global earthquake. Counting back, these blunt and amazing signs started just 252 years ago, and the bulk of them started happening just 163 years ago. Yet, no one seems to know about this. Why?
The prophet Amos saw our day clearly as possible in symbolic manner. Look around, how many people do you know that read bibles? It used to be EVERYONE (that claimed Jesus Lord) read them daily as little as 100 years ago. Today it's rare to see even in Christian families. That's why no one understands the signs of the times. The Bible says in Romans 10:17, "So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God." This strange event is nothing new either. The Pharisees themselves had a problem in this area. Jesus said to them in Matthew 16:3, "And in the morning, It will be foul weather to day: for the sky is red and lowring. O ye hypocrites, ye can discern the face of the sky; but can ye not discern the signs of the times?" Like back then at the first coming of Jesus, Satan knows there is to be hundreds of prophetic fulfillments in everything from society to nature at the second coming. So he confuses the preachers that do read bibles by giving them re-written bibles so they will be unable to "discern the signs of the times" just like the Pharisees 2000 years ago.

Psalms 5:11-12 “But let all those that put their trust in thee rejoice: let them ever shout for joy, because thou defendest them: let them also that love thy name be joyful in thee. For thou, LORD, wilt bless the righteous; with favour wilt thou compass him as [with] a shield.” |
