The article I am posting today, with the title “The American Papacy” was actually written back in 1856 and shared by A.T. Jones. What he shares here is concrete evidence that as stated in Lamentations 2:9 the only way to understand prophecy is to obey the God that wrote it!
This is living proof that the prophecy Christ shared in Matthew 20:1-7 regarding the 7 churches 4 movements of history clearly declared how the Seventh Day Adventist (SDA) 9th hour church would fall into the wide open arms of Roman Catholicism, and Revelation 12:17 then confirmed the 11th hour “remnant of her seed” would finish the work.
What the obedient SDA leaders had back in their infancy that A.T. Jones clearly confirms in this article is 100% gone today in the SDA church. What the SDA leaders were able to do in the 9th hour back then they can in no possible way do today in the 11th hour. The fact the SDA president declared on camera there is “nothing in the pipeline” when it comes to Sunday laws on top of the fact that the SDA church now has dozens of Sunday keeping SDA churches in operation today proves hands down that the SDA church is in fact Roman Catholic in nature. Their well-documented theology actually declares that in writing exactly as prophesied in both SOP and Scripture.

THE AMERICAN PAPACY
“SINCE the year 1856, a book entitled “Our Country” has been largely circulated, and it has excited a great deal of attention throughout the United States. The book was written for the American Home Missionary Society, its object being to present “facts and arguments showing the imperative need of home missionary work for the evangelization of the land.” In a startling as well as splendid array of facts, it presents the growth, the size, the resources, and the perils of our country. {April 15, 1889 ATJ, “The American Papacy” (TAMP) 3.1}
Among the perils to our country, the author rightly places Romanism, and by many excellent quotations proves that it is indeed a peril. We quote a passage or two:— {April 15, 1889 ATJ, TAMP 3.2}
“There are many who are disposed to attribute any fear of Roman Catholicism in the United States to bigotry or childishness. Such see nothing in the character and attitude of Romanism that is hostile to our free institutions, or find nothing portentous in its growth. Let us, then, first compare some of the fundamental principles of our Government with those of the Catholic Church. {April 15, 1889 ATJ, TAMP 3.3}“The Constitution of the United States guarantees liberty of conscience. Nothing is clearer or more fundamental. Pope Pius IX., in his Encyclical Letter of August 15, 1854, said: ‘The absurd and erroneous doctrines or ravings in defense of liberty of conscience, are a pestilential error—a pest, of all others, most to be dreaded in a State.’ The same pope, in his Encyclical Letter of December 8, 1864, anathematizes ‘those who assert the liberty of conscience and of religious worship,’ also ‘all such as maintain that the church may not employ force.'” {April 15, 1889 ATJ, TAMP 4.1}
“The pacific tone of Rome in the United States does not imply a change of heart. She is tolerant where she is helpless. Says Bishop O’Connor: ‘Religious liberty is merely endured until the opposite can he carried into effect without peril to the Catholic world.’ . . . The Archbishop of St. Louis once said: ‘Heresy and unbelief are crimes; and in Christian countries, as in Italy and Spain, for instance, where all the people are Catholics, and where the Catholic religion is an essential part of the law of the land, they are punished as other crimes.” . . . {April 15, 1889 ATJ, TAMP 4.2}
“Every cardinal, archbishop, and bishop in the Catholic Church takes an oath of allegiance to the Pope, in which occur the following words: Heretics, schismatics, and rebels to our said Lord (the pope), or his aforesaid successors, I will to my utmost persecute and oppose.'” {April 15, 1889 ATJ, TAMP 4.3}
“Cardinal Manning advises Romanists throughout the world to enter politics as Romanists, and to do this especially in England and the United States. In our large cities the priests are already in politics, and to some purpose. . . . We are told that the native Catholics of Arizona and New Mexico are not energetic as the Protestants who are pushing into these Territories. True, but they are energetic enough to be enough to be counted. The most wretched members of society count as much at the polls as the best, and too often much more.” {April 15, 1889 ATJ, TAMP 4.4}

And by the way, the word “IN” that is used in verse 8, is not the word “ON” earth as some assume. The word “IN” is translated in Strong’s #G1722 as “A primary preposition denoting (fixed) position (in place, time or state)” And that “time and place” is most assuredly regarding when Christ walked among us wherein the three “Persons” of Heaven were very active in relating all that mankind could understand about Jesus as He walked among us back then.
When it says there are three that bear record in Heaven in verse 7, we know they are literally bearing record that can only be done by a viable person because the titles of the Father, Son and Holy Ghost are mentioned. Basic reality is that a person, or in this case 3 literal persons, are bearing record.
Looking at verse 8 wherein three are described testifying in earth, as if they were persons, this is gracefully submissive and even compliant to the three Persons bearing record in heaven, which is done in a way that mankind can understand, seeing how Heaven is not something mankind can contemplate as per 1 Corinthians 2:9 that says, “But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.” (BTW- This is actually an echo of Isaiah64:4) And we all recall what Jesus said to Nicodemus that night do we not? He said to him, in John 3:12 that, “If I have told you earthly things, and ye believe not, how shall ye believe, if I tell you of heavenly things?” And again, this is why Satan want’s verse 7 removed! If he can get the world to only seek after the witness of the EARTH, then that which is declared from Heaven cannot be understood!
The Spirit we see testifying in the Word of God is confirmed by miracles. The water being of course the actual baptism wherein we are all dedicated to the Son once we accept Him as Lord, Saviour and King. And then the spilling of His blood that is illustrated at the Lord's supper and confirmed in reality at Calvary. And the reason it says these three agree in one is because again, they all bear the same record and or testimony that Jesus Christ is the only Saviour of the world.
THE main reason the confused preachers are declaring 1John 5:7 must be removed is because they assume it touches on the Vatican Trinity, but due to their lazy or sloppy research, the Trinity says there is only ONE God as does the Catholic, Protestant, SDA, Jew, Muslim, Pagan and even the Satanist to this day. But, the nice thing about the confused preachers is that they all declare in unison that Ellen White is a prophet. And so, what does she say about the Godhead?
"The Comforter that Christ promised to send after He ascended to heaven, is the Spirit in all the fullness of the Godhead, making manifest the power of divine grace to all who receive and believe in Christ as a personal Saviour. There are three living persons of the heavenly trio; in the name of these three great powers --the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit--those who receive Christ by living faith are baptized, and these powers will co-operate with the obedient subjects of heaven in their efforts to live the new life in Christ."-- Special Testimonies, Series B, No. 7, pp. 62, 63. So they will miss this and burn for it. Luke warm Christians are more apt to react to the smokescreens Satan billows before their eyes than anything else. Then, almost like clock work, we saw a TV News Anchor named Glenn Beck, a Mormon no less, stand up proclaiming himself the unofficial leader of the tea party. He then does exactly as we declared someone would do. He started to proclaim the need for godly men in office. And now we see them mixing religion with politics so as to have the foundation for Sunday Laws.
A week or so after Beck stepped unto his soapbox, the up and coming Jewish Author Judith Shulevitz who wrote a book titled,“The Sabbath World,” starts getting all sorts of prime time spots on CNN, the Colbert report, and other News Networks speaking about how the Sabbath is a must for all communities now. On the CNN report She even went so far as to say on camera that the Sabbath was a radical idea when it was first etched on Stone thousands of years ago. Yet, if she was a Bible believing Jew as she portrays herself to be, she would know Sabbath was recorded in the Word as kept by God’s people long before it was ever etched in stone. As for her claims of it being radical, that’s just plain silly. Then on the Colbert Report this author admits in the interview that she is not only Jewish, but believes, and I quote "we should probably go back to protecting Sunday" as the Sabbath. Do you realize what this means? There is a movement within the Jewish community right now that is visible enough wherein a Jewish author can come forth declaring it is acceptable to switch their biblical Saturday Sabbath that the Jews have kept for thousands of years to the Roman Catholic Pagan day of Sunday! Actually, this was already known by those of us that do research daily as coming soon anyway. In November of 2008 The Religious Action Center of Reformed Judaism actually announced their desire for a Global Sunday Sabbath as a way to stop poverty and disease.
Jews have keep the 7th day Sabbath for thousands of years, yes. But now it appears Antichrist has been able to work his way in here as well. This is one obstacle many of us that watch Antichrist's movements around the world knew would be a major hurdle for Rome to clear. The Jews now have their very first spokesperson declaring the Jewish people should keep Sunday instead of Saturday holy! This is HUGE! If they can get political leaders in Jerusalem to go along with this, it would be even easier to get the Muslims and all the others religions will easily follow suit. Then last month on February 06, 2013 we saw this article appear.

"This is not the first time suggestions for changing Israel's working week have been made. The initiative to turn Sunday into a day of rest was last seriously looked into in 2011, when Netanyahu tasked the Head of the National Economic Council with examining the possibility." -Source Most believe global Sunday laws are impossible because Jews would never agree to keeping Sunday holy. Looks like they were wrong. Truth is, prophecy cannot fail. To assume the Jews would never keep Sunday holy is to declare Christ a liar.
Back in June of 2007 I reported in my Newsletter on how they were already working on Sunday Laws in Jerusalem. And now we see this article? That being the case, Mr and Mrs Scoffer. What say ye now? As for the political leader's claims in the article that granting a day of rest for families in Israel as per Western rituals; they already have their regular Sabbath day to do this for eons. Better yet, in the West, Saturday is a work day for all Sunday keepers. And most businesses are open 6 days a week and closed on Sundays. But in Israel they will be closed Saturday and Sunday now. If they truly want to emulate the West as their political leaders claim, they would have to make the people work on Saturdays, and take Sundays off. Everyone knows Jews actually rest with their families on Sabbath already.

Someone in the Bible asked Jesus what they should do to have eternal life and Jesus named only 6 commandments after saying keep the commandments.. Why is that?
ANSWER:
Matthew 19:16-24, "And, behold, one came and said unto him, Good Master, what good thing shall I do, that I may have eternal life? And he said unto him, Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, that is, God: but if thou wilt enter into life, keep the commandments. He saith unto him, Which? Jesus said, Thou shalt do no murder, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not bear false witness, Honour thy father and thy mother: and, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. The young man saith unto him, All these things have I kept from my youth up: what lack I yet? Jesus said unto him, If thou wilt be perfect, go and sell that thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come and follow me. But when the young man heard that saying, he went away sorrowful: for he had great possessions. Then said Jesus unto his disciples, Verily I say unto you, That a rich man shall hardly enter into the kingdom of heaven. And again I say unto you, It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God."
Verse 16 actually holds the answer as to why Jesus didn’t share the first 4 commandments. But before sharing, it needs to be understood that the first 4 commandments deal with how we relate to God. Commandments 1-4, if kept, will reflect a true and loving relationship with the Lord. Keeping the last 6 shows a good relationship with our fellowman. The reason Jesus didn’t mention the first 4 commandments to him is because He knew the man’s heart and He knew he desired Heaven, and He knew the man was trying to have that good relationship with the Lord. The fact the man displayed love for Christ and had a desire to do whatever He asked confirms this in verse 16 where it says the man walked up to Jesus and actually called him, “Good Master,” and then asked what he needed to do to gain eternal life. Jesus confirmed the fact He was “Good Master” by saying, in verse 17, “...Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, that is, God:”
Jesus knew this man understood the basic truths behind keeping the first 4 commandments by his loving comments and zealous question; and so he only shared 5 of the last 6 with him. His desire to do His will, as is apparent in the fact he asked Jesus what to do to gain Heaven, confirmed he wanted to follow Him. But it was also obvious by how he responded to Christ’s answer that he wanted to follow Him by his own standards and he had an obvious problem with the last 6 commandments. Worse yet, this man also illustrates he was self-deceived. What I mean is, because he failed to keep the last 6, it mean he was also failing to keep the first 4; even though he assumed he was ok there. Reason being is, if he was truly keeping the first 4, he would have had an obedient heart and then easily moved by the Lord He sought to follow to keep the last 6 as well.
Like many of the rich today, his wealth became his idol and it distracted his ability to see clearly. Since the man was obviously only trying to keep the first 4 commandments so as to gain Heaven, Jesus knew He needed to relate to him his need in keep the remaining 6 as well. The fact he had issues with selling all he had to help the poor proved he was wrestling with how he was to properly relate with his fellowman. Calling Jesus “Good Master” illustrated he understood the first 4 to the point of offering lip service to Christ, but his riches and his apparent white knuckle grip upon them proved he lacked understanding and the desire to keep the last 6.
And by the way, did you notice when Jesus was reciting the last 6 commandments that He didn’t recite commandment number 10 to the rich man? Now, this is only my opinion, but I feel it’s because the man was very rich. Being as rich as he was, he had everything he needed and coveting his neighbor’s goods was not an issue with him. Jesus REALLY knew this man’s heart, just as He knows ours today.

Sunday Sabbath -- (Continuation from last month...)
CLAIM #6… Galatians 4:9-11, "But now, after that ye have known God, or rather are known of God, how turn ye again to the weak and beggarly elements, whereunto ye desire again to be in bondage? Ye observe days, and months, and times, and years. I am afraid of you, lest I have bestowed upon you labour in vain.
Some believe this is speaking of Sabbaths because the word "days" is used in a way that suggests religious observance. However, again we find that the weekly Sabbath is not mentioned here at all. If this is read in context, we find that Paul knew how the converted Galatians used to be Pagans, and therefore used to ritualistic forms of worship. The Jewish converts to Christianity, like those in the book of Colossians, also wanted to continue on with their feast days. Their legalistic form of worship appealed to the Galatians because of their Pagan roots, and had to be dealt with by Paul because he hoped to prevent what we see happening even unto our day 2000 years later. Like today’s feast day movement, they seek to mix the annual Sabbaths into New Testament church worship exactly as did the Jews. But this carnal law was only “until the time of reformation” as we learned earlier. By causing the Galatians to fall for this error they were able to eclipse the atoning work of Christ on Calvary just as the enemy of souls planned. By observing these “days and months” they were declaring their own abilities, rather than Christ’s sacrifice suitable for salvation. But the truth is it’s "Not of works, lest any man should boast." (Ephesians 2:9) This is also why Paul was concerned his preaching to them was a “labour in vain” because they were showing signs of desiring to “be in bondage” to the annual sabbaths that Jesus already declared “finished” at the cross. If you notice, this is the same method of twisting the false preachers use with Colossians 2:16-17. Therefore, the same method of revelation can be used to expose it. Which is to ask, where I ask in the Ten Commandments does it speak of “days, months, times, & years” as we see in Galatians? Since it doesn't, this passage can’t possibly be speaking of the Sabbath found in Commandment #4.CLAIM #7… Romans 14:5 "One man esteemeth one day above another: another esteemeth every day alike. Let every man be fully persuaded in his own mind.
Again, nowhere in this passage does it say we should keep Sunday as Sabbath. This is again speaking of the annual holy-days that some of the Jews still felt obligated to keep. Most Gentile converts to Christianity were not compelled to keep such feast days. This happened simply because many of the Jews had difficulty in giving up their life long traditions. A good way to compare this with today’s Christian church is where some keep Pagan holidays like Christmas and Easter, where others prefer not partake in such celebrations and merrymaking. If they truly see no wrong in this act, we are not to judge them. We can try to warn them of course, but that’s where our job ends. That’s why it clearly states, “Let every man be fully persuaded in his own mind” here. We simply cannot force any man to believe anything we believe.... To be continued
